though, cause it's the same exact machine, where I just replaced the
hard drives, leaving it with the same IP and gateway.</p>

can telnet to these ports in question from the server itself, and
there's no timeout or anything: the connection is immediate. It seems

Wild guess: There are firewall rules which allow old xymon server IP to
connect to the ports in question, while there are no such firewall rules
for the new xymon server IP -
