    order to expand the alias. That is, if you use <code>Alias

    /icons/ /usr/local/apache/icons/</code> then the url

    <code>/icons</code> will not be aliased."<br><br>If you are not using VirtualHost at all then please make sure you let us know.  This Alias is server wide if not placed within a VirtualHost, obviously, so try going to the

Thanks for the info.  I'm making a little progress here.  I copied

hobbit-apache.conf from usr/lib/hobbit/server/etc to etc/apache2/conf.d

and now I get the page:  Index of/ and it shows the file apache2-default.

 I'm sure there's some little thing that I still have to do right?</font><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">

Key for Red Hat type distros is copying or linking hobbit-apache.conf from<br>
