Mike,<br>I had similar symptoms on CentOS/RHL. It turns out a oversized [ports] section caused truncation of message thus [files] [msgs] [procs] may fail to get their data due to truncation. Check whether your 'hobbitd' turns YELLOW at the same time. If so, 'client data' for hobbitd history page will have lines saying this that oversized and truncated.

things from clients and indeed a server running on solaris 10 x86.</span></font></p>

and have seen in the last 48hours it's gone purple at least 3 times, the
only client on this server is the server itself so it's not a load issue.
