[Xymon] Cannot load host configuration error

In theory at least, using 0.0.0.0 in hosts.cfg should work for you, so long as your host name is resolvable by whatever the DHCP server is giving you. For $XYMONSERVERIP, you could use 127.0.0.1 and local communications would continue to work.

I have Xymon running on Amazon AWS instance and if you use the AWS web interface to 'restart' the server it auto reassigns IP's, which in turn makes all my DNS settings wrong. So I added a static IP in AWS so it shouldn't be changing anymore. I also found the IP setting in the xymonserver.cfg file. I also added my IP statically to the /etc/hosts file on the xymon server so I can edit at will and not rely on some DNS server out there updating it's tables. Everything seems to be running smooth now.
