[Xymon] Example of alerts.cfg

Hi Stefan,

The STOP essentially tells Xymon to stop looking for where to send the
current alert. The reason I don't have it at the end of the Windows
Support group is because I also want any alerts that are specifically
for msgs to be sent to an extra Email user therefore the stop is after
that user.

Each line in my hosts file looks something like these,

0.0.0.0  servername    # NOPROPYELLOW:disk delayyellow=cpu:15
delayred=cpu:15 CLASS:aix

0.0.0.0  servername    # NOPROPYELLOW:disk delayyellow=cpu:15
delayred=cpu:15 CLASS:win32

0.0.0.0  servername    # NOPROPYELLOW:disk delayyellow=cpu:15
delayred=cpu:15 CLASS:linux

The CLASS setting allows my alerts.cfg to work

It may be that there is a better way of doing this but I haven't found
it yet and this seems to work ok for my requirements.

Thanks.
I'm not sure of the usage of STOP here. What does it do?
you've got it at the end of GROUP=sqlsupport
but not at the end of GROUP=windowssupport
and others
Can you show me a sample of your hosts.cfg as well?

different in the real file.)

It seems to work fine. The correct people get the correct Emails. I did
have to add CLASS:win32 etc on the end of each server definition in
hosts.cfg to make it work though.

Hi

Can anyone please give me an example of a more complicated alerts.cfg?
I need to just see how the structure looks.
I can't seem to get the group/page alerts working, not sure if you need
to just specify PAGE= or PAGE= and HOST= both.
I know there's just something I'm missing.

Thanks
