Testing firewall/router with redundant connections

How should one configure the BBHOSTS file to track a firewall/router that has redundant connections?  Should the host name contain an identifier string for the connection (i.e. RouterA.mydomain.com and RouterB.mydomain.com) even though it is the same physical device?
