Any suggestions ?
Just a wild guess, but is the source directory the same as the target
directory?? I..e, you unpacked the tar file into /global/hobbit, then
when the configure script asked:
Where do you want the Hobbit installation [/home/hobbit] ?
you put /global/hobbit
