Hi,
here's something that breaks NCV :
with a message like this :
status farm1.tld.something green Fri Aug 25 10:21:44 CEST 2006 things ok
&green All ok
pigs: 32
carrots: 221
guinea pigs: 4
this is a boring message
blobs: 3
water: 4 %
and NCV declaration like this (or no declaration at all) :
NCV_something="*:GAUGE"
I get this :
$ rrdtool dump something.rrd | grep name
<name> greenAllokpigs </name>
<name> carrots </name>
<name> guineapigs </name>
<name> thisisaboringmessag </name>
<name> water </name>
One workaround is to explicitly declare DS names, but ncv should reset
on building DS names on newlines.
(running 4.2.0 + patches)
Regards,
