I found my answer in one of the other source files.
I changed the line
"drop_root_and_removesuid();" in client/clientupdate.c
to match a similar line in client/logfetch.c:
"drop_root_and_removesuid(argv[0]);"
That seems to have done the trick, and it compiled fine and seem to be
running fine too.
