We have been required to provide packages for Solaris 9. Since we already
maintain packages for rpm-based linux distributions, we have built RPM on
Solaris9, used that to rebuild our SRPM, and then converted the RPM to a
Solaris package.
We don't have many Solaris varieties around, but I could provide the package
for testing for others who are interested.

(IMHO, native solaris packages have some disadvantages regarding reproducing
the binary from the source)
