There's a patch for this now at
http://www.hswn.dk/hobbitsw/betapatches/ignoredisk.patch

This lets you put a 

    DISK %^/mnt IGNORE

in the hobbit-clients.cfg, and it will completely ignore all filesystems
beginning with "/mnt".
