You need to set the suid bit on hobbitping:

# chmod +s hobbitping (as root).

Hobbitping does not seem to be working. All "conn" are red, saying nodes
are not OK, not responding to ping.

The bbtest reports...

Hobbitping is owned by root:hobbit

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
