Hobbitping not working

I just installed hobbit server 4.2-beta. This is my first hobbit setup. 

Hobbitping does not seem to be working. All "conn" are red, saying nodes
are not OK, not responding to ping. 

The bbtest reports...

Error output:
Execution of '/export/home/hobbit/server/bin/hobbitping -Ae' failed -
program not suid root?

Hobbitping is owned by root:hobbit

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
