I didn't notice I hadn't set MAXMSG_CLIENT...it defaults to 512k...that was it. I set it to 640 and the messages stopped (after restarting the server, of course).

thx

I'm still running a very old version, so this may not be accurate. Try it with 640000?

hobbitserver.cfg:MAXMSG_STATUS="1448576"
hobbitserver.cfg:MAXMSG_DATA="1048576"
hobbitserver.cfg:MAXMSG_CLIENT="1048576"

I'm sure I'm just missing something simple...I have the following in my xymonserver.cfg file:

MAXMSG_STATUS=640
MAXMSG_DATA=640

yet the xymond.log file is complaining that it's receiving an "Oversize data/client msg from 123.123.123.123 truncated (n=551425, limit 524288)". I had set the limit to 512 but then upped it to 640.

What did I miss?
