pcre compile error

Try grabbing a package from sunfreeware or blatwve instead of compiling it yourself.  Are you using gcc and gnumake?  Package is your best bet.

    Anybody come across following error while compile pcre on solairs

pcrecpp.cc: In method `bool pcrecpp::RE::Rewrite(string *, const pcrecpp::StringPiece &, const pcrecpp::StringPiece &, int *, int) const':
pcrecpp.cc:586: no matching function for call to `basic_string<char,string_char_traits<char>,__default_alloc_template<false,0> >::push_back (char)'
pcrecpp.cc:593: no matching function for call to `basic_string<char,string_char_traits<char>,__default_alloc_template<false,0> >::push_back (int &)'
make: *** [pcrecpp.lo] Error 1

how could be the issue.how to get rid of this error.
