[hobbit] Hobbit Newbie question

Let's be clear:

Client                  Sever

 BB      ->           Hobbit      OK (Hobbit will understand)

Hobbit  ->            BB          NOT OK (BB will not understand messages
from the Hobbit client.)

The statement "no new hobit-style data or functionality" means that without
the hobbit client running on the other department's servers, there will be
some tests not done (e.g. the ports check) that your hobbit clients might be
doing and sending to your hobbit server.
