[hobbit] Hobbit client on VMWare ESX 3

It's port 1984 (Big brother (now hobbit), get it?)

Anyway, I will appreciate any notes you can give for getting it on ESX3. I
just put a production instance up last week, and have several more going in
over the next few months.
