The code line that gdb points out is at the heart of the "ignore" 
processing, so I'm fairly sure now that this is where the problem is.

It's the same call-sequence as the first one, so I think you've
got it narrowed down.

I'll go over that bit of the code and see if I can figure out what is
happening.
