Hello,

This is an old subject but I ran into the same issue and was frustrated
to see there is no place where I could find the answer...I finally sorted
that problem out but it took me a couple of hours to discover the origin
of the problem.

Could you check "hobbitd.log" and see if you don't find any message
 like this one :

2005-07-01 15:15:43 hobbitd servername MACHINE='localhost' not listed in bb-hosts, dropping hobbitd status

It looks like hobbitd status are dropped if your server name is not listed
in bb-hosts. I think the name comes from BBSERVERHOSTNAME variable of
 "hobbitserver.cfg".

So you have to either change your bb-hosts so that "localhost" is listed, either
change variable BBSERVERHOSTNAME to reflect what's in your current bb-hosts.

 Hope this helps.
